AM837x系列芯片包含AM8370、AM8371、AM8372三颗芯片，该系列是一款高度集成的混合信号SoC处理器，它适用于多媒体应用场景。AM8372内嵌的CPU是一个高性能、低功耗的32位RISC内核，具有DSP指令扩展性能，其运行速度可达700MHz。
AM837x集成了无损或接近无损的图像/视频压缩和解压缩模块，可通过1Gbit/s以太网传输RGB888格式的1080P视频。

AM837x多媒体处理器除了拥有1个USB OTG控制器、UART、I2C、SPI等接口，还集成了HDMI Tx和HDMI Rx接口，是一颗高集成度的多媒体视频处理芯片，可为音视频处理场景提供极具性价比的显示解决方案。
